Alberta Dade

Alberta Dade, 53, passed away on the 21st of April, 2022 at her home in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She was born on December 18,1968 in Dallas, TX to Albert Lee Dade, Sr. and Fannie Louise Dade.

Alberta grew up in Dallas, TX. She graduated from A. Maceo Smith High School in Dallas, TX in 1987. She was a devout Christian who, from an early age, devoted her life to Christ and serving the church. Alberta married in June 1987 in Dallas, TX, and soon after welcomed her beloved children Carmen and Brandon. Alberta experienced many challenges in her life, but always remained grounded in her faith in God. Alberta relocated to Grand Rapids, MI in 2017 and was a proud member of Lake Effect Church.

Alberta was preceded in death by her sister Mary, her mother Fannie, and her father Albert, Sr.

Alberta is survived by her daughter Carmen (Hassan) Johnson of Austin, TX, and her son Brandon (Ariana) Levine of Katy, TX; her brother Timothy (Margie) Moon of Seagoville, TX, her brother Clyde (Jackie) Thompson of Dallas, TX, her brother James (Kimberly) Thompson of Dallas, TX, her sister Karen (Keith) Dade of Pensacola, FL, her brother Albert (Caressa) Dade, Jr. of Glenn Heights, TX, her brother Albert (Shanetta) Dade, III of Cedar Hill, TX, her sister Michelle (Mario, Sr) Dade of Cedar Hill, TX, her brother Morris Dade of Cedar Hill, and her sister Jacqueline (Antonio) Mack of Decatur, GA; her grandchildren Marley, Brayden, Ivy and Alani; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives who all loved her dearly.

A visitation will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home, 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd, Kennedale, TX 76060 at 5:00 pm on Friday, April 29, 2022. The family will be greeting friends and relatives following the visitation at 628 Glacier St, DeSoto, TX 75115.
