Joyce Waldrop

Joyce Ann Waldrop, 85, of Kennedale Texas passed on to her heavenly home on July 10, 2021. Joyce was born on November 29, 1935 to Lloyd and Vivian Knotts in Italy, Texas.

Joyce graduated from Kennedale High School in 1951, when they only went to the 11th grade.

She was married to Clarence Waldrop on June 28, 1951 at First Baptist Church where she was a lifetime member and they resided in Kennedale. They were married for 70 years and had three children.

Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved cooking, baking, making crafts and shopping. Joyce’s favorite time of the year was Christmas. She always made sure that everyone had a stocking overflowing with goodies.

Joyce served in the church and was the local PTA president and received a National Lifetime Membership.

Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Eddie Waldrop and parents, Lloyd and Vivian Knotts of Kennedale.

Joyce was blessed with a very large family. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Clarence; daughter Diana Burns and husband Larry of Crowley,  son Rennie Waldrop and wife Brenda of Graham, daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Waldrop of Kennedale; six grandchildren Tina Earle and husband Richard, Angie Manning, Jennifer Koerner, Cole Burns, Kyle Waldrop and wife Jacklyn, Colby Waldrop and wife Jessica. Brother Charles Knotts and wife Sarah, sister Mary Beth Doud and husband Kirby. Joyce had nine great grandchildren and many nephews, nieces and friends.

Funeral service for Joyce will be Monday, July 19, 2021 at 11:00AM at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale, Texas.  The family will greet friends and relatives one hour prior to the service.
