“Jay”
Jay made his first appearance on August 19, 1989, for a captive audience of his biggest fan, his mom Katherine Grant.
Jay grew up in the Mansfield/Kennedale area. He graduated from Kennedale High School in 2007. After high school, Jay pursed is dream of stand-up comedy. He had a plan, save his money and in 2014. Jay packed up his belongings and was ready to do the hardest thing he ever had to do, say goodbye to his family and friends. Jay headed out west to the big city lights of LA California. There he studied “Improv-comedy acting” at Upright Citizens Brigade in LA from 2015-2022. Jay touched so many people with his love of laughter.
He had a talent to make everyone laugh out loud, his smile was contagious. He treated everyone he met like family.
Jay took his last bow on February 11, 2022 in his home in LA.

His mother and father Katherine Grant & Rowdy McCaslin and Grandmother Velma Sue Williams of Fort Worth, Tx. Siblings Jessica and Ron Robinson gave Jay two nieces Kylla and Samantha and nephew Wyatt of Colorado. Kimberly McCaslin gave him three nephews Nicholas, Tyler and Brenden, Rowdy McCaslin “Jr” gave him a niece Alayna, Cody McCaslin and his wife Macy gave him a niece Everley. A brother from another mother and father Brandon Harper-Singleton, son of Sherry and David Hinkle. Brandon and his wife Kaylea gave him three nieces Kailyn, Allie and Gracyn. Newly found siblings Gustavo, Abigail, Genaro Solorzono and Bianca Nunez of Oklahoma.
He has many loved ones, aunts, uncles, cousins & and so many friends left to cherish his memory.
Jay is preceded in death by his grandfather Melvin Charles Grant.
