Mr. A Bigham

William Arvol Bigham, (Daddy, Papa), was born in 1920 in Strawn, Texas to Lawson & Bertie Bigham, passed away August 29, 2013 at the age of 93. William was married to Beulah Mae Bigham on July 27, 1940 in Mineola, Texas. He had a calling to preach the Word of God and pastured a couple churches for a little over thirty years. William made his living and provided for his family as an independent contractor taking great pride in his work. He enlisted in the army in 1942 in Tyler, Texas and served as an Army Private First Class in WWII until his honorable discharge in 1943. William's retired years were spent buying and selling anything from chickens to John Deer lawn mowers to keep busy. William liked to watch football, and stayed up to date on politics, and was very social with lots of friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings; wife, Beulah Mae; and son Dennis Arvol Bigham.
Those left to remember him include: children, Joann Clark, Paul Bigham, Donna Schmalian and Kathleen Smith; ten grandchildren and twenty six great grand children.
