Gary Andrew Hamilton passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at the age of 70.

Gary was born July 14, 1942, to Oscar and Dorthy Hamilton in Haskell. He had been happily married to the love of his life, June, for 47 years. Together they endured his absence during the early part of their union during his time serving in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was an exceptional protector and provider for his family, a doting husband, loving dad, and proud granddad. Mr. Hamilton retired from the IRS as an auditor after 21 years. Gary went on to attend Calvary Cathedral International College earning his associate's degree in practical biblical theology in 2010. When he found free time, he enjoyed reading westerns by Louis Lamour. He and his wife are members of Overcoming Faith Christian Center in Arlington. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: Those left to cherish his memory include his devoted wife, June; son, David Hamilton; daughter, Andrea Woods (Eddie Hathcock); grandsons, Robert-Michael Woods and Matthew Hamilton; granddaughter, Amanda Woods; a host of extended family and friends.
