ARLINGTON -- Anna C. Clements passed away on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009.
Memorial service: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Kanab, Utah, or charity of choice.
Anna was the daughter of Jay Levy and Opal Zelma Leutwyler. She was born on Sept. 19, 1930, in Dallas.She graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown with a B.A. in home economics. She was past president of Lamda Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha. She married Billy Ray Clements on June 5, 1953, at the U.S. Naval Academy.
She taught briefly, but soon took on full-time duties as a homemaker and mother and the wife of a Naval officer. She was both efficient and proud of her duties of keeping the home fires burning for over 25 years while her husband was away from home serving his country.
Survivors: Her husband of 56 years, Billy R. Clements; two children; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; along with a host of other family and friends.
