Austin James Proctor, 35, passed away on October 27, 2021, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on January 24, 1986, in Dallas, Texas to David and Sarah (Job) Proctor.
Austin lived in several places but primarily grew up in Arlington, Texas. He graduated from Burton Adventist Academy in Arlington, Texas in 2004. After high school he attended Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, Texas.
As a teenager and young adult, Austin went on mission trips to Romania and Egypt, and he spent a year teaching English in Prague, Czech Republic. He coached professional baseball in Prague and in Hunenberg, Switzerland. He traveled with his brothers in Japan, South Korea, and Argentina.
Austin married Whitney Kerbs in 2012 in Fort Worth, Texas. They were happily married for 9 years.
Austin had a passion and skill for working with children, particularly children in foster care, who had emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. He made this his career at ACH Child and Family Services and at Fort Behavioral Health, both in Fort Worth, Texas.
Austin is survived by his spouse Whitney of Fort Worth, Texas; his parents David and Sarah (Job) Proctor of Arlington, Texas; his brothers Aaron and wife Hayley (Witbooi) of Mansfield, Texas, and Alex and wife Lauren (Perryman) of Dallas, Texas; and his nieces, Adalyn and Katherine Proctor.
A memorial service is being planned for a date yet to be determined to celebrate Austin’s life.

They will miss Austin every day but will find joy in the love and memories they shared with him.
