Ava J. Hume

Ava Jewel (Judy) Hume, 93, passed away September 15, 2024. She was born on January 6, 1931 to Jack Dixon and Ava Ellison Dixon. Ava grew up in Anson Texas and Fort Worth. She graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1948. She worked at Ray's Pharmacy. She enjoyed her work for many years. Ava married Kenneth in 1949. They were happily married until his death in 1991. She was preceded in death by Billie Buchanan, Shirley Wilbanks and parents. Ava is survived by brother Ralph Dixon and daughters Kay Clark (Vaughn) and Lori Lunsford (Jimmy). She had 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 14 great, great grandchildren. She was a member of Acton Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd. Visitation will be held at 10AM with graveside service at 11AM, Friday, September 20. The family wishes to thank Bethesda Gardens Memory Care and assisted living. Also, Alpha Omega hospice.  Condolences may be left on online guest book.
