Bertha Higdon, 88, passed away Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday in Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Bertha was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Higdon, and four sisters.
Bertha was her children's best friend. She was active in First Bible Baptist Church of Kennedale. She was loved by all who knew her; most said of her, "I wish she had been my mother."
Survivors: Brother, John Spear; children, Leonard Higdon, Sue Clanton and Kenneth Higdon; sixteen grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends.
