Bill J. Greenfield, 85, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family on January 9, 2019.
Bill was born on January 5, 1934 in Temple, Texas to Hazel Allen and Joe Greenfield. He met the love of his life, Bobbie Spears, in Vernon, Texas and they were married in Ft. Worth on March 24, 1953.
Bill retired in 1985 after 32 years as an installer and supervisor for Western Electric. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kennedale. He and his wife enjoyed numerous road trips and vacations with family and friends. Cherished memories were made for 27 years at their lake cabin they called Dime Oaks, on Possum Kingdom Lake, that they built along with their friends. He will be remembered for his love of family, his sense of humor and his friendly smile.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a great-grandson, Henry Clayton Greenfield-Dunn.
Survivors: Wife of 65 years, Bobbie, son Danny and wife Kara Lynn, son Kerry and wife Lisa, daughter Tammy and husband Gary, son Glenn and girlfriend Amy, brother Sam and wife Barbara, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Kennedale. First Baptist Church, 309 Kenney St, Kennedale, TX 76060.
