Billie Paralee Barron ‘Memaw’ entered the gates of heaven peacefully on June 25, 2022 at her home in Arlingon, TX with family by her side. Billie was born June 27, 1937 in Abilene, TX. She met the love of her life and married Lloyd Barron in 1953 and together they had four daughters and one son that died at birth. They later moved to Arlington, Texas. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked at Jet Research, Barron Sheet Metal (the family business), and was a member of the Eastern Star. After retirement, they moved to Lipan, Texas until Lloyd’s death on September 3, 2001. In her later years, she enjoyed spending time with family, socializing with friends and maintaining a beautiful flower garden.
She was preceded in death by her infant son Dennis Barron, parents Leona Carter and Harvey Newton, husband Lloyd Burl Barron, daughter Cynthia Harris and husband Billy Harris, son-in-law Jim Walker, and brother Bob Newton. She is survived by her daughters Dortha Walker, Janet Winkler and husband Fred, and Brenda Burlison and husband Edgar; Grandchildren - Wendy Brown, Shari Bankston, Carissa Williams, Felicia Dillard, Leslie Ackmann, Robin Wells, Ryan Winkler, Kati Rose, Shawn Burlison and Clayton Burlison; Great grand-children - Jaycee Brown, Cole Brown, Tanner Brown, Brody Bankston, Gracee Bankston, Kylee Bankston, Rebecca Williams, Evelyn Williams, Chloe Dillard, Ella Dillard, Luke Dillard, Chloe Ackmann, Cora Ackmann, Lane Ackmann, Reese Wells, Graham Wells, Callen Winkler, Kinlee Winkler, Auston Rose, Preston Rose, Cecelia Burlison and Simone Burlison; Brothers - Richard Newton, Ed Newton, and John Newton; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home (500 Kennedale Sublett Rd. Kennedale, TX) at 6:00pm, Wednesday June 29, 2022. The visitation will be held immediately following the service.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Kim Evans for being a caregiver and friend to Billie throughout the last year.
