FORT WORTH -- Billie Ruth Bell, 84, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010.
Memorial service: A private service will be held at a later date.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Billie's name to the American Lung Association, Box 26460, Austin, Texas 78755-0460.
Miss Billie, as she was fondly called, had a wonderful sense of humor and was an honored friend. She took all the wonders of life, wrapped them in colorful packages and gave them to us. She was able to enjoy her passion and be associated with many from the racing world. She was a people person who enjoyed her job at Southwestern Bell Phone Co.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank M. Bell.
Survivors: Daughter, Jan and Larry Croft; granddaughter, Lezlee and Jimmy Duty; great-grandson, Nick and Tiffany Duty; great-great-grandchildren, Cameron and Kori Duty; niece, Becky Hofmann; and a host of other family and friends.
