Bonnie Luzella Melican

Bonnie Luzella Melican, 70, passed away on September 24, 2023, at her home in Kennedale, Tx. She was born on January 24, 1953, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas to Gerold and Helen (Rundell) Hunt.

Bonnie grew up in Miami, where she graduated high school. She then traveled to Alaska, Florida, and New Orleans, before finally settling in Arlington, Tx, where she worked multiple jobs in her capacity as a single mother. Bonnie was a crackerjack saleslady. Sho specialized in Jewelry, but specifically, watches. Bonnie and Bob married in 1984 and celebrated their 39^th anniversary in August.

Bonnie was extremely proud of her children: Derek, Brittany, and Andy.

She was preceded to Heaven by her mother, Helen; and sisters, Magie and Jeri.

A funeral service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd. Kennedale, Tx 76060 at 10:00am, Thursday, September 28, 2023. Burial will follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Cathleen Gustuson, the paramedics of the Kennedale Fire Department, and all the staff at Methodist Memorial Hospital that together, gave the family extra years to spend with her. We thank you all for your professionalism, and for always treating Bonnie like a valued friend.
