ARLINGTON -- Buddy Leon Seay, 82, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 1, 2015.
Graveside Service: 10:00 a.m. Monday at Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Sunday in Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
He was born September 24, 1932 to the late Arthur and Lorena Seay. He is one of seven children and grew up most of his life in Arlington.
Buddy had great admiration and love for his family and would give the shirt off his back for them. He loved and cherished his 10 grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was very proud of him. He owned "Seay Co", a sand and gravel business for 48 years, owned and operated Seay Security, Baby-O's, and VIP Ballroom Dance Club. He was a creative and all around entrepreneur and was never afraid to begin a new adventure.
He loved family vacations to Galveston, Mexico, and New Orleans. Last week he spoke of having dinner at one of his favorite restaurants "Commander's Palace" in New Orleans. Watching and attending Indy Car racing was a lifelong favorite, too. Buddy took great pride in keeping in shape with vigorous exercise which included weight lifting, walking, and ballroom dancing. He was a young spirit!
Survivors: Sister, Elizabeth Lewis; children and their spouses, Rhonda Jo and Jerry Usher, Donna and Phil Hughes, Vanessa McCauley, Jolynn and Bruce Miller, Sondra and Tom Chambers; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Many thanks to lifelong family friend Marsha Uselton Neuner for her continued love and support.
