Owen Everett Cain, 88 of Joshua, went to live with Jesus on September 20, 2013. He was born in July of 1925 in Forest Hills, Texas, the youngest of four brothers born to Everett and Coletha Cain. Owen married Irene Maines and had two children, Linda and Johnny Cain.
Owen served in the military during World War II and survived the battle of Iwo Jima. When he returned from the war, he earned a business degree from TCU. Owen joined his brother Beal in Cain & Cain Construction Company. The company served as a general contractor for dozens of schools, hospitals, churches, and other commercial construction projects in the north Texas area. One of the most challenging projects was the expansion of the Texas Tech football stadium in Lubbock by physically moving the existing concrete bleachers outward, excavating a sunken football fields, and adding additional bleachers to increase the seating capacity.
Owen became Pastor of the Romans VIII Church in Fort Worth and hosted a late night Christian ministry on television for many years called The One to Three Answer.
Owen is survived by his wife of 69 years, two children, six grandchildren, and eleven great grand children. He will be remembered lovingly by both family and friends alike.
