Carl McGrew was born on February 18, 1955 to Willie and Cleta McGrew. Born in Midland and raised in Corpus Christi, TX, Carl graduated from Roy Miller High School where he excelled in football. Carl worked for Arco Oil and Gas before relocating to Las Vegas, NV. In partnership with his wife, Carl was the Co-owner of C&Cint Thing’s for 16 years. As a foster parent for 22 years, Carl and his wife Cynthia fostered over 40 children. This resulted in them adopting 4 children as their own. After working for the Clark County Election Department for 20 years, he retired as the Warehouse Supervisor. In his retirement, Carl moved back to TX and enjoyed working at the AT&T (Dallas Cowboys) Stadium, were he was awarded Employee of the Month.
In his spare time, Carl was an avid fisherman, master carpenter, restored antique vehicles, and loved traveling. As an active member of the Men’s Fellowship at Victory Missionary Baptist Church, Carl’s love of cooking and service of others was displayed each Sunday morning as he prepared breakfast for all to enjoy.
Carl will be remembered as having a gentle spirit and being quiet in nature. His devotion to his family was exhibited as a loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle.
