Carol Marie Wyatt, 68, passed away on October 7, 2024, at Medical City of Arlington hospital in Arlington, TX, after a two-week battle with cancer. She was born on March 14, 1956, in Mobile, AL to Winfred and Shirley (Moore) McCain.

Carol’s early years were spent as an Air Force brat, growing up in multiple cities, where her family eventually settled in Arlington, TX. She graduated from Lamar High School in 1974. After high school she attended East Texas Baptist University in Marshall, TX where she received her “MRS” degree prior to completing her studies.

Carol married Ray Wyatt on October 7, 1978, in Arlington, TX. They were happily married for 46 years. Carol was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Arlington, TX for many years, and later was a member of South Oaks Baptist Church, also in Arlington, TX for over 35 years. There she enjoyed singing in the church choir, assisted with several youth activities, and event coordination.

Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley McCain; father, Winfred McCain; brothers, Allen and Mark McCain; father-in-law, Cecil Wyatt; uncle, Ray Smith; sister-in-law, Vickie Wilson; niece, Krista Fortune; and nephew, Kevin Wilson.

Carol is survived by her husband Ray Wyatt of Arlington, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Amanda Wyatt of Mansfield, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Katie Wyatt of Kaneohe, HI; grandchildren Felicity, Joy, Adelaide, Gwynneth, and Tommy; sister, Sharron White of Grand Prairie, TX; brother James (Debbie) McCain of Mansfield, TX; brother, Paul McCain of Cleburne, TX; sister Ela Rodriguez of Centennial, CO; mother-in-law, Wilma Wyatt of McComb, MS; numerous nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home, 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd Kennedale, TX 76060 at 10:00 AM, October 19, 2024. The family will briefly be available to greet friends and relatives immediately following the service. Carol’s favorite colors were red and blue. As the family celebrates her life, they would like you to join them in wearing these colors, if you feel lead. A private burial to be held at a later date at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
