Carole Jane Henderson, 75, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017.
Funeral Service 3 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
Visitation 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and 2 p.m. Wednesday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Carole was born March 21, 1942 in Youngstown, Ohio to Michael G.  and Jane Vezse.  She earned her B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Kent State University in 1964 where she was a member of the ALPHA XI DELTA sorority Order of Rose for  50 years . Carole married her childhood sweetheart, Chuck on December 19, 1964 in Youngstown, Ohio. Carole taught 2nd and 3rd grade at Johnson Station Elementary  from 1964-1967. She also tutored children to read. Carole enjoyed square dancing, being a den mother for the Cub Scouts, and being a part of the Arlington Women’s Club where she was involved in a bible study and antiques group. She was an avid gardener and grew orchids by the hundreds. She and Chuck were season ticket holders to the Fort Worth Symphony and patrons at the Kimbell Art Museum.  She was also  a member of the BMW car club, and enjoyed being a soccer mom. Carole was a member of 1st Presbyterian Church in Arington, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Michael G. and Jane Vezse.
Survived by her husband of 52 years, Chuck Henderson; sons, Greg Henderson and Doug Henderson and wife, Sharon; brother, Michael G. Vezse and husband, Damon Powell; grandchildren, Sarah Musselman and husband, Branson, Lindsey Henderson, Katherine Henderson, and Cassidy Henderson.
