Carolyn Sherwood

Carolyn Ruth Sherwood (Stutler) was called home on March 12, 2019 at the young age of 57.

Carolyn was born in Georgia to a military family. She grew up in Texas eventually graduating from Mansfield High and later attending college at Texas Wesleyan University. Carolyn was hired by Alcon Surgical in Fort Worth when her resume was selected out hundreds of applicants. She was a dedicated employee for over 25 years. She married her soul mate on June 2, 2000. Family was everything to Carolyn. She was devoted to her children, her schedule was often full with Girl Scouts, soccer and basketball practices. She enjoyed holiday gatherings and traveling. Summer RV trips to Mason and Christmas time were both her favorites. Carolyn was a courageous woman, full of life.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her loving parents Ruth and James Stutler, and sister Carol Evans.

She is survived by her husband Leon Sherwood, daughters Chelsea McGinnis, Brittanie McGinnis and Audrie (Jake) Hubbard, son Cody Sherwood, stepdaughters Heather (Wallace) Whitworth and Stephanie (Jamie) Cox, 13 grandchildren; siblings Jim (Carol Marie) Stutler, Jonny (Jana) Stutler, Michael (Jennifer) Evans, and Jenifer (Nolan) Patridge, and their children and grandchildren.
