Carolyn Jo Tidmore

Carolyn Sims Tidmore, 81 Years old, passed away on January 21 2025, peacefully in her sleep at home in Arlington Texas with her family around her.

Carolyn was born December 23, 1943 in Roswell, New Mexico to her father, Loyd Sims and her mother, Ruby Sims.

Carolyn grew up in El Paso Texas. She graduated from El Paso High in 1961. Carolyn married Jay Tidmore in 1962 and together they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and had twin boys, Forrest and Michael. The family moved to Dallas and then California in 1969. It was there she raised her boys. Carolyn enjoyed painting and worked as an interior decorator. She always had an eye for art and saw the beauty in things.

Carolyn was a faithful wife of 60 years, loving mother,  sister, aunt, and a friend to many.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jay Tidmore, son Michael Tidmore; her sister Doris Roberts; brothers Kenneth Sims, Harvey Sims; and her parents, Loyd and Ruby Sims.

 Carolyn is survived by her son, Forrest Tidmore; sister Peggy Alberts and husband Larry Alberts; and numerous nieces and nephews.
