Charles Kevin Jones

Charles Kevin Jones or “Kevin” (to those who knew him) lived to be 67 years of age. He was born on Wednesday, March 20, 1957 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He finished his journey home to our Lord and Savior on Monday, February 17, 2025. He was preceded in passing by his mother, Carolyn Ruth Swiggart and his sister, Linda Carol Jones. He is survived by his faithful wife and loving companion Tanya Tyrone-Jones, and his children, Jeff Thompson, Dan Thompson (spouse & two children), Jonathan Mills (children: Ashley, Becca, Raymond, and Aryana), Sarah Buckmaster (spouse: Michael & children: Mika, Jace, Liora, and Kian), and Samuel Jones (spouse: Madde). Kevin was also survived by His siblings, Carl Stodola (spouse: Courtney), Keith Moore (spouse: Annette), and Kelly Dyer (spouse: John).

Kevin was a talented executive chef and kitchen manager. There wasn’t a dish that he couldn’t make and make well. If you’ve ever been treated to a taste of one of his fine culinary masterpieces you’d know that Heaven has recruited an executive chef of the finest quality. Kevin enjoyed watching a wide variety of movies and reading from a diverse library of books. However, Robert a Heinlein was his favorite absolute favorite author. Kevin enjoyed listening to music of all kinds but was especially fond of playing tunes by Iowa’s Rob Lumbard. Kevin studied theater at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and enjoyed writing and reading poetry. Kevin had an ironclad work ethic and a fun loving personality. He is loved and will be greatly missed by friends and family from all over the globe.

A Memorial service will be held to celebrate the life of Charles Kevin Jones 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at the Emerald Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd, Kennedale, TX 76060.
