Charles Kirkland

Charles Don Kirkland, 68, passed away on October 9, 2021 at Community Hospice of Texas in Burleson, Texas.  He was born on July 18, 1953 in Dallas, Texas to David and Melba (Spurgin) Kirkland.

Charles grew up in Fort Worth, Texas.  He began working for Pioneer Concert as a driver/loader-operator where he worked for 20 years.  He retired in 1998.  Charles was involved with Life Fellowship Church.

Charles married Martha Jane Brown in 1977 in Forth Worth, Texas.  They were happily married for 43 years.  He enjoyed taking the family to the lake, football games(Cowboys), fixing cars/motorcycles and any kind of odd jobs along with loving his grandchildren.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents David and Melba Kirkland.

Charles is survived by his spouse Martha of Alvarado, Texas; son, Ricky (Rhonda) of Alvarado, Texas; son, Chuck (Brittany) of Alvarado, Texas; daughter, Belinda (John) of Alvarado; son, Michael of Wilberton, Oklahoma; along with lots of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral service for Charles will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home (500 Kennedale Sublett Road, Kennedale, Texas 76060) on Friday, October 15, 2021 with interment to follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends and family for visitation on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 6:00-8:00PM at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale.
