Charlinia Maye Ford, 78, passed away on March 28, 2025, in Arlington, Texas. She was born on June 22, 1946, in Wynnewood, OK, to Charles and Noveta (Morrison) Ingram.
Charlinia grew up in Wynnewood, OK, where she met and fell in love with her husband, Frank Ford, in 1960. They were happily married for 61 years. Charlinia began working for Justin Boot Company in 1964, where she worked her way through the plant to become a custom seamstress for the fancy stitching on western boots. She retired in 1999 after 35 years of dedicated service. Her favorite hobbies included shopping, working in the yard, crocheting, sewing, dancing, traveling, and cooking. Her greatest joy in life was her two daughters, six grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Her home was the headquarters of her family, and on any given day, there were grandchildren coming in and out of her house for her famous iced tea and words of wisdom.
Charlinia was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Ford; her parents, Charles and Noveta Ingram; her sister, Mary Martin; her brother, Roy Ingram; her sisters-in-law and brother in laws, Doris (Bill) Jones, Temp Ferguson, Joyce(William)Benson, and Katherine Gordon; and her aunt and uncle, Roy "Tex" and Rosemary Morrison.
She is survived by her daughters, Darlene (Marty) Vermillion of Ratliff City, OK, and Paula (Ray) Ford-Perrine of Arlington, Texas; her sisters-in-law, Brenda Ingram and Iva (David) Matthews; Brother in Law Tommy Gordon. Her cousin, Andreia Morrison; her grandchildren, Matthew (Felisha) Vermillion, David (Ashley) Vermillion, Amber (Kevin) May, Todd (Summer) Pollard, Daniel (Stormy) Vermillion, and Amanda (Levi) Stahl; and her great-grandchildren, Carole, Logan, Alex, Mikell, Andi, Sky, Zoey, Seth, Bryson, Hunter, Wayland, Charlie, Mackenzie, Eli, Cheyenne, as well as countless nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A graveside service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home, 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd, Kennedale, TX 76060, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 5th. A visitation will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home on Friday, April 4th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The family will be greeting friends and relatives during this time.
