ARLINGTON -- Cheryl Georgianna Watkins, 60, passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, at a local hospital.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday at Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Burial: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Cheryl Watkins was born July 1, 1947, in Monahans to George M. Steadman and Gertrude Willingham Steadman. On Oct. 30, 1964, she married Raymond Lee Watkins in Lawton, Okla. They moved to Arlington to make it their home. They had two children. Cheryl was a purchasing agent at AC Horn of Dallas for five years. Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family and her dogs, Bandit and Dixie.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lee Watkins; parents, George M. Steadman, Gertrude Steadman Phillips and Raymond Phillips.
Survivors: Children, Melissa Meisner and husband, Keith of Mansfield, and Darren Ray Watkins and wife, Leli Lani of Rendon; grandchildren, Payden, Amber and Jenna Meisner of Mansfield, Raylee, Cade and Cole Watkins of Rendon; sisters, Melinda Parker and husband, William of Rockdale, Elizabeth Barton and husband, Jerry of Belton and Jacquelyn "Jackie" Phillips of Arlington; uncle, Donald Steadman and wife, Duelle; nieces and nephews, Shannan Hodge and husband, Britt of Corpus Christi, Heather Flores and husband, Robert, Patience Lange and husband, Chris, Jerrod Barton and wife, Kristy, Shane Phillips and wife, Jennifer; great-nephews and great-nieces, Dalton Hodge, Stephanie and Kimberly Flores, Autum and Garrett Lange, Abigail Phillips and Rawling Barton; and a host of friends.
