Colleen Kopps Larsen, born in April 1948 in Schenectady, New York, to John and Beatrice Kopps Sr., passed from this life into eternity at home surrounded by her loving family on June 7, 2014.
Colleen grew up in Schenectady and graduated from Linton High School. She spent most of her life in the healthcare field and possessed a passion for working with the elderly. She relocated to Texas in 1985. Colleen enjoyed poker games with her family and trips to the casinos with friends. Her free time also included watching NASCAR, rooting for Tony Stewart, and her Washington Redskins. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. Colleen recently retired after many years from Texas Masonic Retirement Center where she was an Activities Coordinator and Director. After retiring she was able to devote quality time to her beloved dog, Corky, who kept Colleen active with trips to the park. Her friends and family remember a person full of life who enjoyed laughter and having a good time.
Colleen will reunite in heaven with her parents, husband, Richard B Larsen; and brothers James Kopps and John Kopps Jr.
Those left to remember her include: sisters, Jacqueline Kopps Marmaduke of Hagaman, NY, Susan Kopps West of Schenectady, NY, Children, Kimberly Baldwin, of Clifton Park, NY,, Michael Baldwin of Clifton Park, NY, several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, one great great niece and her beloved dog and constant companion, Corky.
The family wishes to express a heartfelt Thank You to the staff at the office of Dr. Kurshid, and the staff, doctors and nurses of Texas Best Hospice for their endless comfort and support.

The family will receive visitors and invites friends to celebrate Colleen's life at 2 pm Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale.
