Danene Hobbs

KENNEDALE -- Danene Hobbs went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011.
Service: a homegoing service will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Life Fellowship Church, 611 N. Little School Rd., Kennedale. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
Danene was born Feb. 5, 1939, in Montague to the late Dan and Sonora Fenoglio. Danene attended Kennedale schools and graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1956. She then attended Decatur Baptist College, where she met Dwain Hobbs who became her faithful husband of 53 years. Together they raised two children. Danene served alongside her husband in ministry and was co-pastor of God's World Church in Dallas, where she stirred the faith of countless individuals. While joyful serving the Lord, she loved decorating, swimming and most of all her family.
Survivors: Son, Randy Hobbs and wife, Brenda, of Bedford; daughter, Darla Shirley and husband, Steve, of Arlington; siblings, Bonnie Watson, Pauline Utley and Walter Fenoglio; grandchildren, Rhandi Rae, Holly and Trey Hobbs, and Mac and Stevie D. Shirley; 12 nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
