Daniel Wayne "Red" Archey

FORT WORTH -- Red" Daniel W. Archey, 73, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2013.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, at Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel, 500 Sublett Rd. Kennedale. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, July 1, at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society. Proceded in death by his parents and daughter, Cherrisa Smith.
Red was born in Nashville, TN. on October 6, 1939 to Evva Lee and Dave F. Archey. He worked for Harrison Jet Guns in Kennedale for 33 years. Red was part of a large family, the youngest of 10 children and had 23 nieces and nephews. He always had a smile, loved the outdoors, participated in bowling, fishing, car racing, baseball and enjoyed watching sports with his wife, Barbara, especially golf and the Texas Rangers. He loved cutting the lawn (even the neighbors') on his big red lawn mower. Red was best known for his generosity, kidding around, joking , caring ways and easy going spirit that everyone loved and admired.
Survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara, daughters, Toba Mitchell and husband Raymond, Lisa Sorrell and husband Bob, nine grandchildren, Brant, Gretchen, Cash, Tayler, Nicki, Greg, Kysha, J.R., Chris, nine great-grandchildren, two beloved pets, Darwin and Sugar and a host of family and many friends.
