David Andrew Bryan

July 18, 1953 — March 25, 2025

Kennedale

In Loving Memory of David Bryan July 18, 1953 – March 25, 2025 David Bryan was a man who lived out loud — with rhythm, laughter, and an open heart. He passed from this life as he lived it: loved deeply and remembered joyfully by all who had the honor of knowing him. Born in Lubbock, Texas, and raised in Fort Worth, David moved to Kennedale as a Freshman in high school. To many, he was the wild and crazy friend who lit up every room (sometimes literally, as in one memorable pyrotechnic moment at a school dance). A lifelong drummer, David never lost his passion for the art, treasuring his time playing with the Pengwins in their early years as well as various other artists in studio. In more recent years, after retirement from a career at FedEx and when health issues rendered him no longer able to play, he enjoyed attending as many concerts as possible, where he could truly be in his element. To his family, David was everything. He was a fiercely devoted father who championed his son Greg, and later Greg’s wife Shanti, through every season of life. He was a proud and joyful grandfather — known to Gavin, Eleanor, and Evelyn as a playful and loving presence who never missed a game, recital, or opportunity to cheer them on. He called the girls his “little angels” and supported Gavin in all of his endeavors in music and otherwise. David was a source of unwavering support and quiet generosity. He lived to make life easier for those he loved, often putting others ahead of himself — always with sincerity and without expectation. David was honest, loyal, and deeply kind, and though we will miss his laughter, his silly humor, and his unwavering commitment to his family, we carry his love forward- in our memories of him and how we show up for and love one another. A graveside inurnment service will be held on Friday, May 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Emerald Hills Cemetery in Kennedale, Texas. All who knew and loved David are warmly invited to join us as we honor his life, his joy, and the love he gave so freely.
