KENNEDALE -- David Allen Sanford Sr., 79, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 25, 2007, at a local hospital.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday in Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Burial: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Viewing: noon to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
David was born Oct. 1, 1927, in Decatur as the youngest of four brothers and two sisters. He served two years in the U.S. Army. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Kennedale. He lived by the Golden Rule and proved it by always finding the good in people.
Survivors: Loving wife of 60 years, Wanda Sanford; sons, David Sanford Jr. and Larry Sanford and wife, Pamela; adopted son, Eldon Fink; grandsons, Mathew Sanford and wife, Stephanie, and Shea Sanford; brother, Arvil Sanford; sister, Leola Farris; and 18 nieces and nephews.
