Dean Arthur Pound, 74, succumbed to pulmonary fibrosis in his sleep at home on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in Arlington, TX. He was born May 15, 1944 in Fort Worth, TX to Lee A and Clara Jo Pound. On July 28, 1973 he married Aixa Hernandez in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dean graduated with a Bachelors of Environmental Science at Concordia University Texas and worked for a number of years at J & J Maintenance as an Environmental Compliance Officer. Dean enjoyed his work, reading books, watching dramatic TV shows, and movies about intrigue and espionage. He loved the ocean and dreamed of deep sea fishing and sail-boarding as well as the occasional game of dominoes. Dean will be remembered for his generosity, selflessness, work ethic, gratefulness, commitment to his family, and his overwhelming love. Survivors include his wife Aixa; his two sons, Stephen Dean Pound of Austin, TX and Richard Dean Pound and his wife Katrina of Arlington, TX and two grandchildren Judy and Lincoln.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents and his brother David Lee of Austin, TX.

A time of gathering for praying the rosary will be held on Friday, May 10 at 7:30 pm at the St. Vincent de Paul chapel in Arlington, TX.
