Delma Brown

Delma Lee Brown “Dale”, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 in Keene, Texas from natural causes.  He was born August 16, 1931 in Hillsboro, Texas to Raymond Monroe and Lizzie Clyde Brown.

May he always be remembered as the loving dad of all dads and the most loving dad, son, brother, husband, grandfather, and friend.  He was the best!

Family came first and he worked his days as hard as he could to give all that he had.  Delma was one of the original drivers for Montegomery Wards on 7th Street where he met and fell in love with his wife Sarah.  He then worked for over 25 years as a supervisor for B.J. Cable & Inc. in Fort Worth.

Delma is survived by his son, David Joe Brown and daughter in-law LaCata “Katy” Brown; grandchildren, Raymond Dale Brown, ChisSica Michelle, Veda Ann, Joseph and Steven Husmann.  He was blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren; step-children, Kim and Nathan by his second wife.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Lizzie Brown; wife Sarah Liles; daughter, Cynthia Brown; brother, Wayne Brown; and sister Kanetha Brown Haney and second wife Joyce Dossey.

Funeral service for Dale will be Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 1:30PM at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale with interment to follow at Emerald Hills Memorial Park.
