Diane Young Wentz

Diane Young Wentz, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, with her family by her side.  She was born on November 20, 1943, in Dallas, Texas.  She grew up and was raised in Arlington, Texas, and graduated from Arlington High School in 1962.  She spent many years working in the insurance and oil and gas industry.  Diane’s sweet and loving nature and kind words were how she greeted the world.  She had a fierce sense of humor and was always laughing.  She unconditionally loved her neighbor as herself and loved and showed compassion to all those she came in contact with.  Diane was happily married to the love of her life and best friend, John Wentz, whom she met later in life.  They brought comfort to each other and shared a love like no other.  Diane was a strong woman who fought hard to spend as many years as she could with John, but it was time for her to go home to the Lord.  Her family and friends will miss her every day until we meet again.

Diane was preceded in death by her mother, Corren Young; father, Clarence Young; and sister, Charlotte McClendon.

Diane is survived by her spouse, John, of Arlington, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Pat and Kelly Woodruff; daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Tony Worthington; grandchildren who loved her as “Grammy," Erin Woodruff, Emily Worthington, Jensen Woodruff and Kaitlyn Worthington; brother and sister-in-law, Darryl and Wendy Young; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Bill Visage; brother-in-law, Mark McClendon, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale, Texas 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd, 76060, on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 12:30 p.m., followed by services at 1:30 p.m.
