Don was proud to be a member of Lane Prairie Baptist Church in Joshua, Tx. where his parents attended before him and his daughter and son in law still attend.
Don lived much of his adult life on a small ranch in Cleburne, Tx. where cowboys gathered every weekend for a buckout or roping practice. He rode broncs, judged rodeos and was the front man in a country band for years. He served as Exalted Ruler at the Elks Lodge in Cleburne for many years and he was a scratch golfer. For many years he looked forward to the annual “Thumper Open”. He and his buddies Rex, Mike, Ron and Steve met at Falconhead Country Club, Burneyville, Ok. for lots of golf and plenty of laughs. He really enjoyed fishing outings with his brother JD as well.
