Donie Pelc

Donie Faye Pelc went home to see her Mom on January 10, 2022. She was born on August 5, 1955 on Yuba City, California to Grundy and Lola (Spicer) Wimberly.

Donie grew up in California and later moved to Texas to raise her family. She was a hard worker and worked many jobs from managing gas stations to owning a restaurant. She eventually started her own janitorial company and did that for the last 25+ years. She enjoyed her job and getting to know everyone in all of her buildings. When she was not working she loved to be outside gardening and working in her yard. She really loved anything that would let her dig in the dirt. She loved spending time with her family. Sunday dinners with all the grandkids and great-grandkids was her favorite. She enjoyed going to the casino and buying her scratchies. She also loved her Cowboys, even the years they didn’t deserve it.

Donie was preceded in death by her parents Grundy and Lola, brothers Tom and Jimmy, 3 nieces and other family and friends.

Donie is survived by her daughter Jeanette Prater and grand-children Reba and Wes Hart, Aubrey and Jose Luciano and Dalton and Brooke Ferguson. Daughter Terri and her daughters Amie, Tobie and Emma. Great-Grandbabies Caroline, Tykie, Isaac, Dayton, Evylyn Faye, Sophie and Jaxon. 4 brothers, 3 sisters, many nieces and nephews and many other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home 500 Kennedale Sublett Road Kennedale, Texas 76060 at 11:00 AM on January 29, 2022.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for plants or anything that would contribute to her garden.
