ARLINGTON -- Donna Lee Richardson, 76, passed away Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, at a local hospital.
Memorial service: 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at Arlington Villa, 6801 Poly Webb Rd., Arlington 76016.
Donna was born April 30, 1933, in East Alton, Ill., to Frank and Amy Ketchum. She retired from Alcon Laboratories as a credit manager, and later retired from TTI. Donna loved to travel to California, New York, Michigan, Seattle, Wash., Houston, Connecticut, Florida, and Fort Worth. Her favorite spot was Sanibel Island, Fla., and she spent the last 20 years in Arlington. Donna loved her family and friends with a passion. She was very kind and generous to a fault. She collected friends wherever she went, and was never forgotten by anyone who knew her. She loved gardening, cooking, poetry and good movies. Donna lived a good life. We who are left behind have been truly blessed. Godspeed, our darling, until we meet again.
Donna was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Amy Ketchum; and a grandson, Brett C. Hopkins.
Survivors: Dear friend and former husband, Don Richardson; daughters, Cheryl "Sam" Hopkins and husband, Roy, Rhonda Elliott and husband, Rick, and Kim Hellman and husband, Terry; dear friend and adopted sister, Nancy Zufelt; grandchildren, Ryan Sawicki, Mark Hopkins and wife, Kirstin, Justin Hellman and Heather Hellman, Lindsey Connell, Sam, Kendall, Riley and Taylor Elliott; and great-granddaughter, Megan Hopkins.
