Doris Ann Jefferson was born to the late Louis Franklin Jefferson and the late Lunie May Carlisle on April 4th, 1938, in Jefferson, Texas.
Doris began her spiritual journey at an early age. She united with the Connors Goodwill United Methodist Church in Jefferson, Texas. Her spiritual foundation was nurtured there.
She attended Friendly High School in Harleton, Texas before completing her education at Pemberton High School in Marshall, Texas.
Doris later met and married the love of her life, King Wesley Fagan. The happy couple relocated to Fort Worth and later welcomed their son Freddie King Fagan to their union.
Upon relocating to Fort Worth, Doris became an active member of the New Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Fort Worth. She served faithfully as an Usher. She continued in faithful service at the Everman Church of Christ and later the Eastland Church of Christ. She served the Lord faithfully until her health declined.
Doris worked and later retired from her dedicated career in food service with the Everman Independent School District.
Beyond her professional life, she found immense joy in camping, traveling, and creating countless memories with her family and friends.
Doris passed away peacefully on January 20, 2025. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, devoted husband of 65 years, her only son and brother Melvin B Jefferson.
She leaves to cherish her memory grandsons, Devon Fagan, Jaden Fagan and Winston Fagan, one great granddaughter Nyla Fagan, two sisters Bobbie Williams and Mildred Johnson, two sister- in- laws Rushie Randle and Mary Griggs and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Doris Ann Jefferson Fagan will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her love for family and the kindness she extended to all who knew her. Her memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to those whose lives she touched.
