Earlene C. Eason, 91, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Friday in Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: Noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Earlene was born Dec. 13, 1918, in Troup, Cherokee County. She married Harvey Eason on Sept. 25, 1935. She was an active member of the Church of Christ and lived true to her beliefs. She was a real “people person” who never met a stranger; her home and heart were always open. She loved to play "42" dominoes and collect dolls to help fill her day. She had the ability to make you feel like you were the most important person in the room.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Eason; and daughters, Bobbie Rogers and Virginia Mathis.
Survivors: Grandchildren, Kathy Rogers, Kay Nelson and husband, Gary, and Randy Mathis and wife, Kim; great-grandchildren, Karrie Brown and husband, Jayson, Noah Mathis and Caleb Mathis; great-great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Northrup, Kimberly Northrup, Joseph Northrup and Kaydran Brown; and a host of other family and friends.
