Eddie Lynn Rodrigue, 78, passed away on January 8, 2025, at his home in Mansfield, Texas. He was born on June 19, 1946, in Schriever, LA to Augustin Joseph Rodrigue and Bridget Adeline (Martin) Rodrigue.
Eddie was one of 18 children and grew up in Schriever, LA. He graduated from Thibodaux High School in Thibodaux, LA in 1965.
After high school he:
Eddie married Judith Katherine Wright in 1967 in Fort Worth, TX at Twin Oaks Assemblies of God church. They were happily married for 57 years.
He enjoyed many years working in construction and spending time with family and friends, but most of all he enjoyed sharing God’s love with others.
Eddie was preceded in death by Augustin and Bridgette Rodrigue (parents), Willard Rodrigue, Walton Rodrigue, Weston Rodrigue, Wilbur Rodrigue, Wallace Rodrigue, Norris Rodrigue, Eugene Rodrigue, Mary Ann Rodrigue, Gloria (Rodrigue) Cherry, Bobby Rodrigue, and Beryl Rodrigue (siblings), and Peter Rodrigue (son).
Eddie is survived by his spouse Judith of Mansfield, TX; his daughter, Toni (and Richard) Ray of Cedar Hill, TX; his daughter-in-law, Davinyl Traje Rodrigue of Richland Hills, TX; his brothers and sisters, Walterine (and Ed) Babin of Schriever, LA, Lilly (and Roger) Myers of Livonia, LA, Georgianna (Rodrigue) Shepard of Schriever, LA, Raymond (and Jeri) Rodrigue of Schriever, LA, Gus (and Kathie) Rodrigue of Welch, LA, and Gary (and Patricia) Rodrigue of Schriever, LA; his grandchildren, Alexander Ray, Nicholas Ray, Eldan Rodrigue, and Daniel Rodrigue.
Per Eddie's request, there will not be a memorial or celebration of life service. In lieu of a memorial service, we ask friends and family to email, mail, or post on Facebook or Eddie Lynn Rodrigue’s online guest book (below) below condolences and memories for us to collect and cherish.
In lieu of flowers, Eddie requested that donations be made to the Children's Ministry at Shepherd’s Valley Cowboy Church.
Eddie is to be buried at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery sometime in February 2025.
