Eleanor Cathryn McEnery, of Arlington, TX, passed away on April 16, 2016 peacefully in her sleep. Visitation will be held at the Emerald Hills Funeral Home Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00PM. Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM Friday, April 22, 2016 at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church.
Eleanor was born in Evanston, IL on May 11th, 1929. She grew up in Evanston, where she met John McEnery. They were married on May 4th, 1957. Together, they built a house and life in Niles, IL, where they raised their 4 children. Later, she and John moved down to Arlington, TX.
Eleanor loved and cared for her family and friends. She loved to bowl and play Yatzee. She was well cared for by, and survived by her husband John; 3 children Sharon Sullivan and husband Tim Sullivan, Dan McEnery and wife Vicki McEnery, and Bill McEnery; 5 grand children, Greg, Scott, Marci, Allison, and Madison; 3 great grand children, Grace, Madox, and Henley; and her sister Shirley Forster and husband Rollie Forster.
Eleanor is proceeded in death by her parents William and Cathryn Burger, daughter Kathryn Livingston, and son in law Bob Livingston.
