Elizabeth Mae Sylvia, known affectionately as Nannie, Cotton Head, Hot Dog Nannie passed away on July 12, 2024, in Mansfield, TX. She was a beloved soul who left a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Born September 16, 1931, Elizabeth led a life dedicated to caring for others. Her career in child care allowed her nurturing nature to shine through, touching the lives of many children and families. She found joy in the simple moments of spending time with family, especially during the holidays, creating cherished memories that will be forever treasured.
Elizabeth's kind and welcoming personality was complemented by a hint of feistiness, making her a dynamic and unforgettable presence in the lives of those around her. She took pride in her role as a grandmother, considering it one of her proudest accomplishments.
Elizabeth is survived by her loving sister Oneida Brackenridge as well as her children: Linda Elaine Brewer, Deborah Jones, Ronald Brackenridge, Herman Edward Brackenridge, and Angie Grandria. and her precious grandchildren - Jessica, Sharon, Sylvia, Katy, Leslie (Greg), Aaron (Amanda), Megan (Jaimie), Drew, Rachel (Paul), McKenzie, Blake, Ashley, Brittany, Heather, Mike, and Shelly; In addition to 14 great grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren.
Elizabeth had a keen eye for collecting things and enjoyed scavenging for treasures at garage sales. These hobbies reflected her appreciation for simple joys and hidden gems waiting to be discovered.
A visitation will take place at Emerald Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Kennedale on July 18th from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM and burial at 3:15 PM. The address is 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd.
Elizabeth Mae Sylvia will be dearly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace knowing that she has left behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be cherished forever.
