On Saturday, April 15, Elizabeth (Evie) Walker entered her eternal home in the Kingdom of Heaven. Evie was born on September 24, 1963, in Fort Worth, TX to Pete and Janis Pulido. She left this earth surrounded by her close loved ones after a 2-year battle with cancer.
Evie married the love of her life, whom she lovingly referred to as “her hero”, on May 31, 1997. During her 59 years of life, she positively impacted many family members, friends, and coworkers. Evie lived a life of being the hands and feet of Jesus. She was heavily active in church, attended weekly Bible studies, and worked in the church nursery. She exemplified unconditional love, joy, and resilience. Evie never met a stranger and when she loved, she loved with her whole heart. She loved God and people, thus fulfilling Jesus’ final commandment. She recently went to college to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a counselor for those struggling with drug & alcohol addiction. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.
Evie is survived by her loving husband of almost 26 years, Brent Walker; her son, Dustin Pulido; her stepchildren Nicole & Nathan Walker; her granddaughter, Kaylynn Mason; her four sisters and their families; Cindi (Dan) Zinda, Christy Williams, Lauren Pulido, Katie (Chad) Dalton as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother and father.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Evie’s life at Emerald Hills Funeral Home on Friday, April 28 at 2PM located at 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd. 76060
