Robert Eugene Markle, 86, slipped gently from this life held by his loving wife of eight years, Dora Ann Markle on December 17, 2013.
He was born in July 1927 to Oswald and Mildred Markle in Hanover, PA. Robert served in WWII in the U.S. Army. When he returned home he attended and graduated Syracuse University with a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering with an extended certificate from Harvard. Robert is a published author with four patents in his name for relay switch assemblies. His family will remember him as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed.
He is preceded in death by the mother of his 9 children and wife of 54 years, Madeleine Markle; son, Gale Markle; step son, Robert Christensen, and sister Judith Ann Markle.
Robert is survived by his wife, Dora Ann Markle; nine children, ten grandchildren, two great grand children, one brother, five sisters, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
The family will host a memorial service in his home at 5:00 pm Sunday January 26, 2014 at 617 Averett St in Kennedale, Texas 76060.
