Eric Arthur Clark, 55, passed away on October 17, 2020 at his home in Arlington, TX, after a long battle fighting Glioblastoma. Eric was born in Fort Worth, Texas on November 5, 1964 to Joseph Addison and Barbara Nuebauer Clark.
Eric grew up in Fort Worth, TX. He graduated from Eastern Hills High School in 1982.
Eric and his brother Scott started Clark Bros Paint & Body where he worked for 30 years as Manager. He followed his passion for cars and was the driver for Clark Brothers Racing winning multiple racing titles in his career.
He was a descendant of TCU founders, Addison and Randolph Clark, in Fort Worth and his Great Uncle Randolph Lee Clark who helped establish MD Anderson in Houston. He descends from a long line of educators since this country’s founding. There is a room at Texas Christian University called the Clark room with much of his family’s pioneer history.
Eric married Sheila in 1995 in Fort Worth, Texas. They were happily married for 25 years. Eric enjoyed race car driving and loved spending time with his disabled great-grandson Mason Tow, otherwise known as Moe, whom he adored. Moe referred to him as Dada.
Eric was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Addison Clark.
Eric is survived by his spouse, Sheila Rich Clark of Arlington, Texas; stepchildren, Angie Ogle (Daired Ogle), Retha Touchet of Arlington, Texas, Chad (Karren) Green of Springtown, Texas; mother, Barbara Nuebauer Clark; brother, Scott (Betty Clark) of Arlington, Texas; sisters, Sherri (Don Sessler) of Plano, Texas, Kimberly (Steve Sorenson) of Crowley, Texas & Lynda (Crew Dykes) of Bivins, Texas; grandchildren, Amber, Taylor, Allie, Byron, Bailey, Conner, Tanner; great-grandson, Mason/Moe Tow; and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
A celebration of life service will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home, 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd. Kennedale, Tx 76060. at 2:00 pm. October 23, 2020. A visitation will be held at Emerald Hills October 22, 2020 from 6-8 pm. Burial will follow at Emerald Hills.
