FORT WORTH -- Ernest Scoggins went to be with his Lord on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday in Emerald Hills Chapel. Visitation: 9 a.m. Thursday.
Ernest was a Bell Helicopter retiree. He was an avid wood worker and loved to play golf. He was a longtime member of Turning Point Church.
Survivors: His high school sweetheart and wife of 61 years, Alma; children, Randy and wife, Susan Scoggins, Cheryl Berish and Melinda Bridges and husband, Eric; grandchildren, Staff Sgt. Bryan Purkey and wife, Amber, their children, Braxton and Maigen, J. Orris Batten, Charlie Batten and wife, Michelle, and daughter, Brylyn, and Tommy, Daniel and Michelle Berish; brother, Harry Scoggin and wife, Shari; sisters, Gertrude Sexton, Eunice Mann and Nelda Reynolds and husband, Benny; and numerous other family members.
