KENNEDALE -- Esther "Earlene" Jackson passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the chapel.

Earlene was born, July 22, 1922, in Kelton to Hugh and Ruth Jenkins. She was a longtime member of Hemphill Baptist Temple. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Her laughter, her sweet spirit and her chocolate pies will be greatly missed.
Earlene was preceded in death by her son, David Lee.
Survivors: Husband of 67 years, Gilbert Jackson; children, daughter, Angela Clark and husband, J.T., and son, Philip Jackson and wife, Rhonda; grandchildren, Matthew Jackson and wife, Melissa, April Cassady and husband, Greg, Whitney Welborn and husband, Chris, Stephen Jackson, Bethany Jackson and Brandy Douglas; great-grandchildren, Rachel, J.C., Philip, Taylor, Jackson and Olivia.
