Fannie Lee Francis

September 26, 1933 — July 4, 2024

Arlington

Fannie Lee Francis, born to Lorene and Henry Brown of Shamrock, Texas, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 4, 2024. Fannie lived in Shamrock throughout high school and moved to Fort Worth with her aunt shortly after graduation. She began working as a receptionist at a local insurance company when she met Bob on a date. They later married and had three children: Jan, Charlotte, and Glen. After moving around Texas, Fannie and the family settled in Bedford, Texas. Fannie worked for H-E-B ISD and retired after 16 years of service. Fannie loved spending time with family, cooking big meals for holidays, being an active grandma, going on walks, taking her grandkids line dancing, or to local garage sales. She loved being a member of the red hat ladies and she spent many years volunteering at the Coat of Many Colors resale shop in Bedford. In 2012, Bob and Fannie sold their home and moved into the Texas Masonic Retirement Center. Fannie’s warmth and vivid personality impacted everyone from those who knew her best to those who she had just met.
