Freddie Wayne Flanagan
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FORT WORTH -- Freddie Wayne Flanagan, 71, a retired heavy equipment operator for the city of Fort Worth, traveled from earth to glory Monday, March 5, 2007, at his home surrounded by family and friends.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday in Emerald Hills Memorial Chapel. Burial: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home.
Freddie was born Sept. 5, 1935, in Fort Worth. He had a strong, unique way at looking at the world; he got up early every day. He felt that everything good happened early, and the one day he would sleep in late, it would all break loose. He felt that there was nothing in the middle of the road but a yellow stripe and dead armadillos.
He was preceded in death by his brother and sisters, James Flanagan, Nita Adams and Helen Flynn; and his dog, Bandit Wayne.
Survivors: His loving wife of 50 years and 10 months, Betty Flanagan; children, Connie Flanagan and Lonnie Flanagan; brother, Bob Flanagan; many loving nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
