Fredrick James Trachier, 79, of Arlington passed away Friday, September 29, 2017.
Funeral Service 11 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2017 at St. Rita Catholic Church in Fort Worth.
Interment at Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Rosary 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October, 5, 2017 at St. Rita Catholic Church.
FREDRICK JAMES TRACHIER, SR. 1938 - 2017
Born April 26, 1938 in Lincoln, New Hampshire. Grew up in Marshall, Tx.
Schooling at Saint Meinrad Seminary and School and Theology in Indiana...Later at age 17, with hisparents permission, he enlisted in the Marine Corp. After being honorably discharged in California wherehe settled in Buena Park and met Patricia Karen Leslie and they married at St. Pius V Catholic Church in1958.
1962 moved to Arlington, Tx with his wife Pat and son Rick, Jr. He took several math courses atArlington State College (now UT Arlington), during which Fred worked as a machinist for several yearsand became a salesman for an abrasive tools company
.
In 1970 Fred, along with three other laymen, in the parish of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Churchreceived the honor and blessing of becoming the first Eucharistic Ministers in the country, which meantthey could assist the priest in the distribution of Communion at Mass.
1973 Fred and friend Bobby J. Whaley became partners and went into business together and formed WTGrinding & Supply Company. Today it is the family business and is still going strong after 44 Years
Fred learned to fly and received his pilot’s license in 1974 and later got his multi-engine and commerciallicenses.
While being a successful businessman he was an inventor and entrepreneur with two registered USpatents which helped revolutionized the machine tool industry. .
In 2003 Fred retired and gave the company over to his kids John and Rick and daughter-in-lawMichelle.
Fred Trachier peacefully passed on September 29, 2017.
