FORT WORTH -- George Edward Eller, 74, passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007.
Graveside service: 3 p.m. Thursday in Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County.
George was born March 5, 1933, in Pine Bluff, Ark., to J.C. and Josephine Eller. George grew up in Little Rock, Ark., and served as a Marine during the Korean War. George worked in the Fort Worth Division of the Postal Inspection Service from 1966 to 1986. He retired for a short period and went back to work for Geico Insurance from 1989 to 1996. After his second retirement, he realized a lifelong dream of owning land in the country. George doted on his family, particularly his grandchildren. He was a loving father, grandfather, husband and friend and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. George was preceded in death by his father, J.C. Eller.
Survivors: His wife of 55 years, Patricia; mother, Josephine; brother, Arthur and his wife, Nancy; brother, Jim and his wife, Joy; daughters, Linda Eller, Debra Eller, Georgia Hutton and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Sarah, Hannah and Jacob; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
