Gloria Gail Wilson, age 65, passed away from us suddenly and into glory on Wednesday, April 9th, 2025 in Cleburne, TX.
She was born on June 2nd, 1959 to Ronald Gillis and Judy Justice in Pittsburgh, PA. Gloria was raised in Ohio and Florida, however her favorite childhood memories were from her time in Florida, where her father worked for NASA, and where she first stepped in the sand and her love for beaches began.
Gloria made Texas her home, became a mother to an all-boy family, married her kindred spirit, faced loss, pursued her education with an associate's degree in business, and always lived life on her own terms, fully embracing every moment.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Ronald and Judy, her brothers Jeff and Tommy, husband Leslie, and son Jonathan.
Gloria was survived by her brother Ronald, sons Clifford and wife Ashley, Tommy and wife Carmen, Ronald and wife Brittney, and Daniel and wife Sadie; stepsons Leslie II and Adrian; grandchildren Jeffrey, Morgen and husband Austin, Mckinzey, Kylee, Makaylynn, Aurora, Tanner, Zakari, Kali, Kenlyn, Aiden, Harleigh, and Parker; great grandchildren Isabella and Leighten, and several bonus grandchildren that adopted her along the way.
A true free spirit, Gloria loved to travel wherever the wind blew her or anywhere her sons agreed to take her, especially if a beach was involved. She enjoyed reading, gardening, music, and any chance to visit and chat with those she loved. She had a terrible laugh, and was unapologetically colorful and uncensored.
Gloria faced challenges in her life and made mistakes, but she carried the burdens of those choices with a strong spirit and became someone her family could truly depend on, whose love for them was obvious and unwavering. When a son, a daughter-in-law, a grandchild, a friend, or even a grandpet needed her, regardless of the need or cost to her, she was there. Gloria was a refuge without judgement, a shoulder to lean on, a safe place, an easily lost chauffeur, an awful fishing pal, a sounding board, an eager travel buddy, and was always ready for an inappropriate joke, story or gesture. Gloria was a doting grandmother, but with flair, and therefore lovingly known by her grandchildren as triple OG'ma, gangster granny, and best friend.
For all she was to everyone, Gloria was dearly loved, and will be so incredibly missed.
